
About 50 feet north of the entrance to the larger portion of the Derrick Cave is the opening to a much smaller cave. It is the continuation of the main lava tube. These entrances are possible due to the massive collapse of this part of the system.
In an attempt to reach a broader base of family and friends who might be interested in our journeys, we decided to use the Internet. It seemed more logical to inform folks that they could choose to read about our adventures by going online, instead of e-mailing numerous people with embedded images.
